Yes. When you receive a FIT Note where the employee is signed off for a significant length of time it is always helpful to contact the employee to establish when they will be happy to be contacted (every 2 weeks etc) to discuss how they are doing. This also gives you as the Company the ability to fill the employee in on any changes that have occurred. If they advise they don’t want to be contacted, then we still need to state that there are formal processes such as occupational health that the organisation may need to contact them about.
